YTC Student Operations Team

Run the project. Own the result.

Help run a nonprofit with global reach. Take an idea, build a plan, bring people together, and see what your work makes possible.

Build leadership experience. Take responsibility for a real part of a project, with guidance as you learn.

Develop skills you can use. Practice marketing, event planning, budgeting, communications, and nonprofit management.

Have work you can show. Create campaigns, event plans, and documented results you can discuss in college, scholarship, and job applications.

Connect beyond Evanston. Help welcome students from Mexico, Cameroon, and Mozambique and support projects with YTC's international partners.

No technical experience needed. Bring ideas, curiosity, and the willingness to follow through.

Students and families gathered at a YTC community computer event
Your planning, outreach, and organization help turn community projects into opportunities for others.

What would you like to take on?

Marketing and communications

Create flyers, write announcements, document projects, and help people understand why the work matters.

Events and volunteer coordination

Plan the day, recruit helpers, organize assignments, and keep everyone informed.

IMPACT Accounts and donation partnerships

Help design YTC's new IMPACT Accounts: a way to record and recognize students' learning, leadership, and contributions. Help shape how students document their progress and how that work is recognized.

IMPACT stands for Initiative, Mastery, Problem-solving, Agency, Contribution, and Teaching.

Help club leaders and administration choose worthy partners for computer donations. Research community needs, learn how partners will use the equipment, and help direct donations where they can make a meaningful difference.

Community outreach

Help connect the club with families, organizations, and people who can support a YTC project.

Ready to take responsibility?

Apply to the Student Operations Team

The application opens in Google Forms. Please answer thoughtfully in your own words. Submitting an application does not guarantee a place on the team.

At the volunteer fair? Open the application on your phone, or ask for help at the YTC table.
